Born and raised in Ingersoll, ON Cindy Walker loves her Oxford County roots and still resides here with her husband Steve. The area offers many things to inspire her from fresh produce to the local arts. As a Professional Chocolatier, she also follows the artisan tradition of creating everything by hand, in small batches and without preservatives. She uses and promotes as much local product as possible such as Local Cream, Maple Syrup, Honey, Lavender and seasonal fruits.
Cindy & Steve are also Tea Sommelier graduates from Fanshawe College. Together they research only the finest teas with reputable suppliers that stand behind the Ethically Traded phrase in every sense. All tea is sampled and approved by both Cindy and Steve before it will make the shelves of Chocolatea.Our store is located at 38 King Street East in Ingersoll, ON Hours Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Saturday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Sunday – Monday Closed
Our passion is driven by the desire to surpass expectations and customer satisfaction. We strive to achieve the sparkle in the eye and a “mmmm” on the tip of the tongue when customers try our chocolates or drink our teas.
Quality, Pride and Freshness with local ingredients when possible are factors when deciding on which Chocolates to make and Teas to purchase.
It is best to consume the chocolates within 2 (two) weeks of purchase.
To enhance the quality of the chocolates, storage should be in a cool and dry location, avoiding direct sunlight.
We strongly recommend that the chocolates are not stored in the refrigerator or the freezer. The flavor and texture is best appreciated at room temperature (70 to 74 degrees Fahrenheit).
Tea can go stale without proper care and should be stored in an airtight container where it is shielded from both heat and sunlight.
